Another day, another video showing someone getting harassed for literally doing nothing — except parking his car.
This viral clip starts with a man standing calmly near his parked car in what looks like a public or open lot. No crime. No scene. Just… parking. But then a police officer shows up and things get weird fast.
“Let me see your ID,” the officer says.
“For what?” the man replies. “I haven’t committed a crime.”
The officer doesn’t give a straight answer, instead insisting the man needs to identify himself “just because.” When the man stands firm — knowing the law and his rights — the cop drops the bomb:
“You’re being detained.”
“For what exactly?” the man asks.
“For parking,” the cop says bluntly, like that’s a valid reason to detain someone.
Yeah. You read that right. Detained for parking.
The man keeps his cool, records everything, and refuses to back down. Then — enter the supervisor.
Now this is where things shift.
The man respectfully explains the situation: that he was just parked, doing nothing illegal, and the officer escalated out of nowhere, demanding ID and threatening detention without cause.
You can actually see the supervisor start realizing this isn’t a good look.
“He said I was being detained for parking a car. That’s not how the law works,” the man says.
The supervisor listens, clearly uncomfortable with how the stop was handled. While they don’t openly call out the officer, the body language says it all. After a short exchange, they let the man go.
No ID shown. No arrest. No citation. Just an awkward ending to a stop that never should’ve happened.
The internet’s having a field day:
“Imagine being detained because you dared to park a car.”
“This is why we record everything. Cops be out here freestyling laws.”
“Shoutout to the supervisor for not doubling down on dumb.”
Moral of the story? Know your rights, stay calm, and always hit record. Because sometimes, the biggest crime… is not showing your ID when no one can tell you what law you broke.
