This one’s got the internet seriously divided — and for good reason.

A man has sparked major concern after he was caught filming outside an elementary school, then reportedly tried to walk onto the property. Parents, staff, and pretty much everyone else weren’t having it — and neither were the police.

In now-viral footage, the man is seen standing just outside the school fence with a camera, recording kids during recess. Several concerned parents spotted him and notified the school, prompting the principal to lock down the doors and call law enforcement.

It gets worse: the man then approaches the entrance and apparently tries to get inside.

That’s when police arrived and confronted him on the spot. His reaction? Calm… but defensive.

“I’m not here to hurt anyone,” he says in the video. “I have no bad intentions. I’m just recording. It’s my right.”

The officers, clearly on high alert, told him to back off immediately. While he wasn’t arrested, he was firmly escorted off the premises. But here’s the catch: unless he crossed into restricted areas or made threats, he technically didn’t break the law.

Understandably, parents were furious.

“This isn’t about rights. It’s about safety,” one mother told reporters. “You don’t film kids at a school. That’s basic.”

“Why would anyone do this unless they’re looking for trouble?” another commented online.

But the man insists he’s done nothing wrong, and some people online agree — saying he’s within his rights as long as he stays on public property and isn’t filming with malicious intent.

Still, trying to approach a school in today’s world? Not exactly winning public sympathy.

Now, the video is exploding on social media, with people debating everything from free speech to school safety to whether this kind of “civil audit” has gone way too far.

So — constitutional activist or complete boundary-crosser?
Let us know what you think. Just maybe don’t try this near a school.
