Marcus (frustrated):
Bro, I told you not to park that close to the curb. Look at this! The whole bumper’s scratched to hell.
Jay (defensive):
And I told you it wasn’t me! I borrowed the car, yeah, but it was fine when I left it.
Luis (arms crossed):
You both sound dumb right now. Someone messed it up, and it sure as hell wasn’t me—I didn’t even drive this week.
Marcus (to Jay):
So what, it scratched itself while you were “borrowing” it?
Jay:
Maybe someone hit it in the lot! You ever think of that? Not everything is my fault, Marcus.
Marcus:
When it comes to my car, yeah—it kinda is. You’ve borrowed it three times and it’s come back worse every time.
Jay (getting louder):
Maybe stop offering it then!
Luis (stepping in):
Alright, enough! Y’all wanna argue, go do it outside. Some of us are actually trying to get our brakes fixed, not relive Fast & Furious: Family Drama Edition.
[Marcus and Jay glare at each other, breathing heavy. The mechanic walks in with a clipboard.]
Mechanic (deadpan):
If you’re done yelling, I can tell you exactly who hit what. We’ve got cameras out front now.
[Everyone freezes. Silence.]
Jay (mutters):
…Seriously?
Mechanic:
Dead serious. Wanna watch it together?
