It just got worse⦠or better, depending on how you look at it.
Remember the guy who went viral for refusing to show ID while filming in public? Well, thereās a part two ā and this time, heās surrounded by multiple officers⦠and drops a question that leaves them absolutely stumped.
After standing his ground and refusing to hand over ID (because, again, filming in public isnāt a crime), more officers arrive at the scene.
Instead of backing down, the man doubles down ā and hits them with a question that nobody was ready for:
āDo any of yāall know what the 3rd Amendment is?ā
Cue the awkward silence.
One officer mumbles something about “free speech,” another says “isnāt that the gun one?” ā and a third just straight-up shrugs.
āYāall donāt even know the Constitution you swore to uphold,ā the man says, clearly fed up.
āYouāre not capable of doing your jobs if you donāt even know the basics.ā
Boom. The internet exploded.
š± āThis is why accountability matters. How can you enforce laws you donāt understand?ā
š āThe Third Amendment? Bro hit āem with the sleeper clause!ā
š§ āYou shouldnāt need a law degree to wear a badge, but come onā¦ā
And in case you’re wondering, the 3rd Amendment says the government canāt force you to house soldiers in your home ā a lesser-known part of the U.S. Constitution, but still a real amendment officers are sworn to uphold.
The videoās now racking up millions of views, and once again, it’s igniting a fierce conversation about police training, civil rights, and how much the people in power really know about the laws theyāre enforcing.
Is it fair to expect cops to know every amendment? Or was this guy just making a point they werenāt ready for?
