A man has sparked a wave of support online after posting a video of himself trying to file a formal complaint against bank staff — after one worker allegedly closed a door in his face during a visit gone wrong.
In the now-viral clip, the man is seen walking into the bank, visibly frustrated but composed. He explains that he’s there not to start a fight — but to speak to a manager.
“I need to file a complaint. One of your employees literally slammed a door in my face,” he tells a staff member at the front desk.
The moment quickly goes from awkward to tense when other employees start acting defensive — instead of apologizing or offering help.
“Do you have an appointment?” one of them asks coldly.
“I’m here to file a complaint. That’s it,” he replies.
“Bad Service Isn’t Illegal, But It Ain’t Okay Either”
According to the man, the incident happened earlier that day when he entered the bank and asked for assistance. Instead of getting help, he claims one staff member gave him attitude — and when he tried to speak up?
“She just turned and closed the door — right in my face,” he says in the video.
“Didn’t say a word. Just shut the door. Disrespectful as hell.”
The Internet Responds: We’ve All Been There
The clip quickly hit home for thousands online who’ve dealt with rude service and felt powerless to call it out.
“Customer service in 2025 is just ‘deal with it.’ Props to this guy for standing up for himself,” one user wrote.
“If they treat people like this on camera, imagine how they act when no one’s watching,” another added.
Some people even shared their own horror stories of being ignored, dismissed, or straight-up embarrassed by staff in public places.
Can You File a Complaint? Yes. Should You Film It? That’s the Debate.
While most businesses have a right to ask people not to film inside private property, customers also have the right to report bad behavior — and use video for evidence if they’re in a publicly accessible area.
The man said he started recording after being ignored and denied a proper response.
“All I Wanted Was Some Respect”
At the end of the clip, the man says what thousands are thinking:
“I wasn’t rude. I wasn’t loud. I just asked to be treated like a human being.”
And sometimes, that’s all it takes to go viral — and to start a conversation the corporate world clearly isn’t ready for.
