[EXT. CITY STREET – EARLY MORNING]

Tiny paws tap against the cold sidewalk.

A puppy, no more than a few weeks old, wanders down the street — ears drooping, fur messy, eyes wide with confusion.

He sniffs the ground.
Sniffs the air.
He’s looking.
For someone familiar.
For someone warm.
For Mommy.

[EXT. ALLEYWAY – MOMENTS LATER]

He checks behind garbage bins.
Under parked cars.
Behind fences.

No tail wagging to greet him. No soft nudge.
Just silence and the sound of passing cars.

Every time a dog barks in the distance, his ears perk up and his tail lifts.
Then he realizes… it’s not her.

And his tail drops again.

[EXT. CORNER SHOP – LATER]

He curls beside a storefront, watching people walk by. Some glance. No one stops.

He rests his head on his paws, letting out a tiny whimper.

But then—
a gentle hand reaches down.

SOFIA, 20s, kneels beside him with kind eyes and a warm blanket.

SOFIA (softly):
Hey there, little one… are you all alone?

The puppy looks up, unsure. Then slowly, he leans into her.

[INT. SOFIA’S APARTMENT – NIGHT]

Wrapped in the blanket, tummy full, the puppy sleeps soundly for the first time in days.

He didn’t find his mommy on the street…
But he found someone who would love him just the same.
