SANDRA BULLOCK:

You know… we spend so much time trying to understand why people hurt us.

We replay the conversations. The silence. The betrayal.
And somehow, we start to believe it was our fault. That we weren’t enough. That if we’d just done something different, maybe… they would’ve stayed.
Or loved us better.
Or at the very least — respected us.

But here’s the truth I learned the hard way:

Sometimes people break you because they’re already broken.
And sometimes people leave because they were never meant to stay.

And that doesn’t mean you’re unworthy.
It means you’re human.

(She steps forward, voice steady.)

Let them go.
Let the memory go.
Let the need for closure go.

You don’t need their apology to heal.
You don’t need their approval to move forward.
And you sure as hell don’t need their love to love yourself.

The strongest thing you’ll ever do is walk away from what broke you — and still choose to be kind.

So if you’re carrying someone else’s cruelty on your back — put it down.
Stand up.
And remind yourself:

They didn’t win.

You’re still here.
And you’re just getting started.
