FBI Deputy Director Dan Bongino has unveiled a new initiative to disclose previously restricted information regarding several high-profile cases. This endeavor seeks to enhance transparency and restore public confidence in the agency.

Bongino announced that the FBI has started to supply documents and evidence to both Congress and the public regarding cases of considerable interest. These cases encompass the 2017 assault on Congressman Steve Scalise, the 2023 Nashville school shooting, the Crossfire Hurricane investigation, and initial inquiries into the origins of COVID-19.

“We recognize that the public has inquiries and apprehensions regarding the management of these cases,” Bongino stated. “We are striving to address these matters responsibly while upholding privacy and security.”

This action demonstrates the FBI’s dedication to transparency while also considering the necessity of safeguarding sensitive information and the individuals associated with these cases.
