Donald Trump’s health has long been scrutinized, especially as he began his second term at age 78 — making him the oldest president to do so. Recently, speculation exploded online over a viral photo from a UFC event on June 9, 2025. In the image, a visible line down Trump’s right pant leg sparked rumors that he was wearing a Foley catheter.

Amid ongoing political controversies, Trump has continued to claim robust health but declined to release detailed medical records during the 2024 campaign, unlike rival Kamala Harris. However, a recent White House report from Dr. Sean Barbabella stated Trump is in “robust” physical and mental condition. It noted:

  • Weight: 224 lbs, Height: 75 inches
  • Normal heart, throat, and eye exams
  • 2024 colonoscopy revealed a benign polyp and diverticulitis
  • Use of cardiac and cholesterol meds
  • History of cataract surgery

Trump added, “I took a cognitive test. I got every answer right.”

In the UFC photo, the line on Trump’s pants led some to suggest he was using a catheter, with others pointing to bruises on his hand. Critics claimed signs of medical devices or even neurological conditions. However, others argued the line was a simple crease and that Foley catheters are rarely used by ambulatory patients unless under specific medical circumstances.

White House Response

A spokesperson firmly denied the rumors, calling them “baseless” and politically motivated. “The President is in peak condition,” said Steven Cheung, accusing social media of fueling conspiracies.

While no evidence supports the catheter claim, the incident underscores how easily speculation can overshadow official reports — and how health rumors continue to shape political narratives.
