Only in America, right?
A man was casually driving his mum’s car — probably just running errands or heading to get snacks — when he suddenly got pulled over by the police.
Now, you’d think this was a routine traffic stop. But nope. The moment the cops found out it wasn’t his car, they wanted him out immediately.
Apparently, in some parts of the U.S., if you’re driving a vehicle registered under someone else’s name — even your own mother — it raises suspicion.
And boom, just like that, the man found himself in the middle of what looked like a full-on investigation over borrowing mum’s Toyota.
The whole interaction screamed “wrong place, wrong time” energy.
Dude’s just trying to mind his business, but the officer’s like:
“Sir, step out of the vehicle. This car is not under your name.”
Imagine being treated like a criminal for doing your mum a favour.
People online are divided:
Some say the cops were just being careful (you know, stolen cars and all),
Others say it’s classic overreaction — like, how many people even own their own car in 2025?
Either way, it’s a reminder that in the U.S., even something as simple as borrowing mum’s ride can turn into a whole episode of Cops.
