Officer (sternly):
“Hey. What are you recording?”
Man (calmly):
“Just the street art. It looked cool.”
Officer (stepping closer):
“Let me see some ID.”
Man:
“For what? I didn’t do anything wrong. I’m just filming.”
Officer (firmer):
“It’s suspicious. I’m asking again — ID, now.”
Man (confused, still holding his phone):
“I’m standing on a public sidewalk. Recording in public isn’t illegal.”
Officer (voice sharpens):
“Refusing to comply is only going to make this worse. Show me your ID.”
Man:
“Worse for what? You haven’t told me what I’ve done. I have a right to record in public.”
Officer (getting more aggressive):
“You want to keep pushing it? I asked you for ID. That’s not optional.
”Man (quiet but steady):
“You’re escalating this over a phone and a sidewalk.”
