Officer (knocking on the window):
“Good afternoon, sir. I need to see your license and insurance, please.”
[The guy doesn’t move, doesn’t even glance at the officer. He stays quiet.]
Officer (louder, a bit firmer):
“Sir, I need to see your license and insurance. Step out of the vehicle, please.”
[The guy looks straight ahead, ignoring the officer.]
Officer (calm, but with growing frustration):
“I’m asking you for your information. If you’re not going to provide it, I’m going to have to escalate this.”
[The officer stands there, waiting. The guy stays still, not making eye contact, still silent.]
Officer (growing more insistent):
“Do you hear me, sir? I’m not asking for much. Your license. Your insurance. Now.”
[The guy finally turns his head slowly, looking at the officer without emotion.]
Guy (without opening the window):
“I don’t have to give you anything unless you’ve got a reason to pull me out of this car.”
Officer (pausing, then sighing):
“I’m not going to argue with you, sir. You’ve been asked to comply. I’ll need you to step out now, or I’ll have to take further action.”
